I believe our bodies hold an incredible capacity to heal when we feel safe enough to listen. That belief wasn’t learned from a book. It grew from my own journey through childhood trauma, chronic pain and years of searching for a different way.
Growing up in Wales, I experienced a challenging home life and the lasting impact of childhood trauma. At the age of 18, I underwent major back surgery, followed by 17 years of chronic sciatica and persistent lower back pain. When my condition deteriorated and spinal fusion surgery was recommended, something deep inside me knew there had to be another way.
That decision became the beginning of a lifelong journey of healing.
I immersed myself in yoga, first completing the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course before going on to complete a 500-hour Vajrasati Yoga Teacher Training. For more than 25 years, yoga has been both my teacher and my companion. Training with Peter Blackaby and his Grounded Yoga approach after I had my son, transformed my understanding of movement and the body, and over time I was able to overcome the chronic pain and sciatica that had shaped so much of my adult life.
Yet, as much as yoga healed my body, I realised there were emotional layers that movement alone could not reach.
At the age of 30, I also discovered another unexpected gift—my Creativity. Becoming an artist opened a doorway into self-expression, curiosity and healing that I never imagined possible. Today, I am a multimedia artist with a BA in Wood, Metal, Plastics and Ceramics, and creativity continues to be an important part of how I understand myself, my clients and the healing process itself.
Discovering the Breath
Everything changed again when I discovered Rebirthing Breathwork.
For the first time, I experienced a practice that could gently reach the places beneath words and beyond movement. Through the breath and vocal sound healing, I found a profound sense of aliveness, freedom, self-compassion and connection to myself. It helped me unravel old patterns, soften long-held protective responses and remember a deeper sense of who I truly am.
Today, I weave together Rebirthing Breathwork, Vocal sOund healing, yOga and Creativity to offer a compassionate, Grounded space where others can reconnect with themselves. I am currently completing my Breathworker training with AiR School of Rebirthing and continue to deepen my understanding through ongoing study, personal practice and lived experience.
I don’t believe healing is about becoming someone new. I believe it is about gently peeling back the layers of stress, trauma, conditioning and life’s experiences, so we can remember who we have always been.
My role is not to fix anyone. It is to hold a safe, nurturing and non-judgemental space where you feel supported to explore your own inner landscape. I see myself as a compassionate witness to your journey, trusting in your body’s innate wisdom and its remarkable capacity to heal.
If you’re feeling called to reconnect with yourself—whether you’re living with stress, emotional overwhelm, unresolved trauma, chronic pain, or simply longing for a deeper sense of peace—I would be honoured to walk alongside you.
Your breath has been with you since the moment you were born. Perhaps it is also the doorway that leads you home to yourself.
