What does the AIR training consist of?

The AIR training consists of the completion of the 4 modules as a student as well as attendance at one of the modules as an assistant. Students are also supported in completing the Prerequisites for graduation, such as reading specific books, facilitating breathwork sessions on case studies, plus other activities that deepen the students’ own experience and skills as well as help them promoting themselves locally and on the web. Please contact us for more information.

How long does the AIR training take?

The training is a total of 400 hours. It is done over a minimum of 2 years.

Why does it take 2 years, when I can do another course more quickly?

Becoming a Rebirther (conscious connected breathwork) involves an on-going exploration of and taking responsibility for our individual reality. We believe that one’s own personal development forms the core of any practitioner’s integrity. You can only teach, apply and hold space for that which you have learned and integrated yourself. The AIR Rebirthing Course therefore combines the professional training with a personal journey of transformation that spans a minimum of 2 years.

We are accredited by the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance, an international accrediting body that certifies breathwork schools. They stipulate a minimum of 2 years training for conscious connected breathwork practises. We are also accredited by the British Rebirth Society, an organisation that has been supporting breathworker’s in the UK for 40 years. The AIR School of Breathwork is also recognised by the International Breathwork Foundation (IBF - www.IBFbreathwork.org ).

AIR graduates are qualified to enter any of these professional organisations.

Those students who have completed previous breathwork training or training in other modalities may be able to complete the training in less time.

Can I take longer to complete the training? Students are encouraged to go at their own pace, that is in line with their own personal journeys and convenient to their own lifestyles and capacities. It is entirely up to the individual as to how long it takes to complete the training.

What are the AIR modules?

The AIR modules are Sacred Breath, Sacred Love, Sacred Life and Sacred Path. Please see here for a description of the content of the modules.

When and where can I attend the AIR modules?

The courses are each a week long and are held 5 times per year, 3 as residentials in different, beautiful locations in England and France, and 2 online. The residentials start on Friday evening and finish the following Friday morning. The online modules start on Friday evening and finish the following Thursday evening.

Please see here for the dates of upcoming modules.

What order do I do the modules in?

The modules can be done in any order, but you need to do one of each module.

Can I choose to do the training online or in person?

It's up to you if you prefer to do the training online or in-person, or a mix of both, but we do advise at least two modules in person. In special circumstances we are open to discussing your options if it is difficult to attend in person.

What are the differences between the online and residential modules?

Both the in person and online training modules are a deep and rich learning experience and transformative journey, done in a small group, and lead to the same certification. Please see the testimonials. There are some differences of course – please see below.

What are the benefits of doing the training online?

You can be in the comfort of your own home, no need to travel anywhere and so save time and money. The training fees are cheaper than in person and you develop experience of rebirthing clients online. Breathwork online gives you the scope to have clients worldwide, from your home.

What are the benefits of doing the training in person?

Our in person modules are renowned for being transformational experiences, where you get to dive deeply into all aspects of yourself, whilst being held in a safe and loving environment. One of the beautiful aspects of AIR training are the week-long residentials where students come together and live, learn, practice and share their journeys together. It is a wonderful gift to yourself to retreat from your everyday distractions for a week, in a beautiful location, where you can chat to like-minded people, walk in gorgeous surroundings, often wild swim, eat delicious and healthy home-made food prepared lovingly by our own chefs.

How does the training work online?

We will be using Zoom for tuition, instruction, group work, and breathwork sessions in exactly the same way as if you were attending in person. Zoom allows us to have breakout rooms to work in pairs or in small groups, as well as with the whole group. The week flys by!!!

How many people are in a module?

The group sizes are a maximum of 16 students. Sometimes the venues only allow for less, from as small as 8 people.

What type of breathwork do we learn at AIR?

At AIR you are training to be a Rebirthing Breathworker. We use the conscious connected breath, that is a therapeutic breathwork practice that taps in to the body’s innate wisdom and healing potential, allowing for integration and personal growth.

At AIR, students and clients learn to discover their own unique Natural Breath. This is a gentle approach to Rebirthing that honours the uniqueness of each person’s life experience and every day experience.

We also look at and learn about our everyday breathing and other specific breathing exercises for different outcomes and practices.

Do you teach students to become breathworkers for one-to-one clients and groups?

Yes, on graduation you will be able to deliver one on one sessions as well as facilitate groups.

When can I take on clients as an apprentice?

As a prerequisite to graduation you need to take 3 clients through 10 paid Rebirthing sessions.

You are encouraged to take on clients after your second week-long module.

What supervision do you offer?

Group support for graduation once a month, one hour £12.

Individual Supervision once a month, one hour £50.

Do I need insurance to be a Breathworker?

Yes, as a student you will be required to. Balens offers a very reasonable insurance cover to AIR students.

What are the costs of doing the training?

The costs of doing the training are as follows:

-        4 week-long modules as a student @ £700 each, plus £500 for food and accommodation on each of the residential modules.

-        1 week-long assisting module - £500 per Residential Module, £350 per Online Module

-        Supervision £50 / hour (for when you have clients).

-        Reading List books (you can also borrow the books from AIR)

- Insurance from Balens as a trainee Breathworker - approximately £25 / year, and around £60 for a qualified breathwork facilitator.

Do you offer any payment plans?

Yes require full payment per module not later than 2 weeks before the start date of the module. We ask for £100 deposit, and the balance can be split into two payments.

Are there opportunities to breathe and connect outside of the modules?

Both Kerry (website) & Jacqui (website) have numerous opportunities for students and graduates to get experience at festivals and events throughout the year. Please look at their websites for more information. If you want to attend a workshop to support, then this can be under supervision if you have not yet graduated.

We hold a monthly online breathe for AIR students, assistants and graduates at £10/session (donation). You can, of course, meet up with others and breathe together any time, and online. There are groups and events already formed where breathers get together.

We also have an AIR WhatsApp group where you can share, ask questions and seek support.

What is Breathwork? What is Rebirthing?

Rebirthing is a complementary therapy specifically focusing on the breath as a profound healing tool. This technique, combined with improvements in the quality of our thinking, results in rapid personal development. Breathwork is the generic word for all practices using the Conscious Breath

How do I know if Rebirthing breathwork is for me?

You can have a session with a Rebirther or attend one of our week-long modules with no commitment to continue the training.

Where can I find a Rebirther?

Please see here for a list of AIR Rebirthers both in the UK and worldwide.

I am already a therapist. What will breathwork bring to my clients?

Breathwork is a perfect tool to add to any alternative or even mainstream therapy as it is easily adaptable to everyone, either in a one-to-one session or in a group.

Why train as a Rebirthing Breathworker?

More and more people are discovering the power of breathwork as a healing modality and for enhancing their lives. There has been an enormous surge in its presence and popularity in recent years. There is a growing demand for breathworkers.  More importantly, there is an important need for competent and highly skilled, professional breathworkers who have undergone deep and extensive personal healing and also training, such as we offer at AIR.

It is, as all breathworkers will say, one of the most rewarding and meaningful ways to be of service in the world.

It can be done online, from the comfort of your own homes. Then, the overheads are minimal. It can be done outside in nature.

Breathwork is a tool for life. When a client has undergone several sessions with you as a practitioner, he can do Rebirthing sessions or by himself. This is the most incredible gift to give someone.
